And the Winners are...
We are very pleased to announce the winners of our switchedonkids: Poster Design Competition 2012. We received an excellent response to the competition with 3,000 entries submitted in total.
Thank you to everyone who entered and a very well done to the winners.
We launched the poster design competition, themed around ‘Electrical safety in your home: Dos and Don’ts’, as part of our activity to support Electrical Fire Safety Week which ran from 24th-30th September 2012. During the Week, we joined forces with the Fire Kills campaign and Fire & Rescue Services to make people aware of the risks around using electricity in their homes.
The Overall Winner was Zara Miah from Christ Church Bentinck Primary School in Marylebone, London. Her design will feature on our new limited edition junior switchedonkids electrical home safety checklist, which aims to encourage children to carry out a home safety check with their parents or carers at home to raise awareness of electrical safety around their home. Further details about the checklist will be posted on the switchedonkids website shortly.
